Case study · Financial services
Project intake throughput
improved by ~25%.
A financial services organization was delivering a Customer Data Platform integrating Sitecore and Alteryx while project intake had become a bottleneck. New initiatives waited too long before they could start. The issue was not missing goals. Work simply took too long to get moving, and the path from request to governed delivery was unclear.
My role
What I was responsible for.
Program Delivery Manager responsible for CDP delivery governance and redesign of project-intake workflows.
Approach
How the work moved forward.
- 01Started with a health check on the platform program to separate delivery health from intake delay.
- 02Mapped the intake path from request through approval, funding, and kickoff to find where work stalled.
- 03Redesigned handoffs, ownership, and governance steps so intake decisions had named owners and clear criteria.
- 04Aligned intake changes with existing delivery governance, vendor SOW management, and audit documentation requirements.
Outcome
What changed.
Redesigned project-intake workflows reduced bottlenecks and improved initiation throughput by approximately 25%, giving teams a faster, more predictable path from request to start.
Sample deliverables
What this engagement could look like.
Fictional examples showing a typical path: Health Check first, then a focused follow-on deliverable. Names and numbers are illustrative.
